Tooth Whitening
What we are trying to achieve with
professional 'tooth whitening' is to lighten
and brighten the teeth. There
are many different ways to achieve this - overnight
'tray & gel' systems (home bleaching), one hour tray
& gel systems, in-surgery 'power whitening' or a
combination of methods.
We have found the quickest and
most effective way to whiten teeth is to combine
in-surgery power whitening with a take-home one hour
'tray & gel' maintenance kit.
The whitening system we use at The
Dental Suite is the
Beyond™ power
whitening system. We can usually lighten
and brighten both the top and bottom teeth 6-8
shades (VITA scale) in about an hour, and, compared
to most other systems we have used in the past, there
are no side-effects or post-treatment sensitivity with
Beyond™.
Following the power whitening
treatment the
Beyond™ take-home maintenance
kit can be used to lighten the teeth further or
just maintain the new smile.
