Sedation dentistry is known as relaxation dentistry and used by dentists for those people who are afraid of dental treatment even enter the dental clinic. Sedation can keep you relax during medical procedures. Sedation dentistry is totally different from general anesthesia because sedation drugs don't block the pain signals to the brain and you will remember very little about the treatment.

Oral Sedation:
This type of sedation involves drinking a sedative drug before undergoes dental treatment. Anxiety and stress over treatments will be relieved with these sedative drugs and the dentist will be able to undertake any dental work necessary. The patient will not lose consciousness and will be able to understand any instructions given by the dentist. The effects of these drugs can last for up to four hours.
Intravenous Sedation:
This technique known as IV and it involves a sedative drug being given directly via an injection into vein. The patient will be able to talk and listen after sedation, but it is quite deep so patient may not remember much about the treatment.
Intravenous Sedation is very greatly useful for those people suffer from a severe gag reflex.
Inhalation sedation:
This type of sedation involves squirting a concentrated form of a sedative drug up your nose like Nitrous Oxide and Oxygen. Inhalation sedation used for those people who are afraid of needles and for those persons who have special needs. These gases have the effect of removing pain and getting on a warm and desirable feeling.
